Tracy Mattner

Tracy graduated from East-West College of the Healing Arts in 2016 and is currently practicing her own unique style of therapeutic massage and bodywork. Each treatment is tailored to the client's needs and goals and may include elements of Integrative Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Therapy, Swedish, and Traditional Thai Massage.

Tracy has been a lifelong athlete and discovered the healing power of massage after suffering numerous physical injuries from running, traditional sports, martial arts, and dance. She is trauma-informed and experienced working with clients on a wide range of conditions including Post-Traumatic Stress.

Tracy is also a certified yoga teacher and writes about a variety of topics related to holistic health and wellness.

Her clinical practice is influenced by her understanding of the body that developed through her personal yoga practice of over two decades. Tracy receives ongoing mentorship with a structural integrator, and the foundation of her work is deeply anatomical as well as intuitive.

All muscle tension is mediated by the nervous system, and Tracy’s approach to deep tissue massage works with the nervous system, rather than overwhelming it, to achieve more immediate and longer-lasting change and to increase vitality and restore optimal health and wellbeing.

Whether the goal of a particular treatment is to soothe the nervous system or to "fix" a physical complaint, Tracy works with each client to create balance at the level of the physical body as well as at the level of the mind and spirit, in order to achieve true integration, as clients begin to deepen their relationship with themselves and discover new ways of being.
